K – 7th Grade
We Build the Foundation. Then We Raise the Ceiling.
Nerd Academy is a nonprofit private school in Odessa, TX built for students who need strong reading, writing, math, structure, safety, and confidence.
What are you looking for?
My child is falling behind
My child needs a better school environment
My child needs more challenge
I want to understand tuition
We slow down where it matters, then move forward with purpose.
Reading changes everything.
When a child struggles to read, every subject gets harder. Math word problems, science lessons, social studies, writing assignments, instructions, tests, and even confidence all start to suffer.
That is why literacy is not treated like one subject among many at Nerd Academy. It is the foundation.

Gaps are not character flaws.
They are signals.
A lot of parents come to us frustrated because they know their child is capable, but something is not clicking. Maybe homework turns into a fight. Maybe reading is avoided. Maybe math facts are not sticking. Maybe confidence has started to drop.
We do not shame students for gaps. We look for the root issue.
Identify the real gap, not just the grade-level label
Strengthen reading and comprehension step by step
Build math fluency and number sense
Rebuild confidence through visible progress
Keep parents informed with clear communication
15
Students max per class
Kids do not magically catch up
in a room of 25.
Small classes are not a luxury at Nerd Academy. They are part of the model.
When class sizes stay small, teachers have more room to teach, observe, redirect, challenge, and respond. Problems are easier to catch. Progress is easier to monitor. Students are harder to overlook.
Class sizes are capped at 15
Students are known, not managed
Teachers can respond faster
Parents are not left guessing
Learning feels more structured and personal
A child who feels unsafe
cannot focus on learning.
Clear expectations
Adult follow-through
Calmer classrooms
Respect, not chaos
Ownership of behavior
Once the foundation is stronger,
we raise the ceiling.
Not every student comes to us because they are behind. Some come because they are bored, underchallenged, or tired of waiting for school to become interesting.
Nerd Academy gives students room to think, build, question, and connect learning to the real world.
