By building a school that met our own high standards as parents, we set the bar for what all students deserve—a place where they are truly supported, challenged, and given every opportunity to succeed. We started Nerd Academy because we were frustrated with the system.

We saw firsthand how many children were being left behind—whether due to a lack of attention, outdated teaching methods, or a failure to address bullying and social issues. As parents with real-world experience in nursing, retail management, homeschooling, military service, business consulting, marketing, psychology, and education, we know that schools must do better. We took our combined knowledge to create a program that reflected the skills, values, and support systems children need to thrive in today’s world.

What Makes Us Different

No Labels, No Limits- We don’t believe in labeling kids. Instead of assuming a child is a “problem,” we focus on understanding how they learn and what they need to succeed.
A Safe Supportive Environment- Bullying, favoritism, and neglect have no place here. Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and encouraged at school. At Nerd Academy, we take action leaving no room for excuses.
No Fundraising Pressure- Many private schools put more focus on fundraising than education. At Nerd Academy, we don’t believe in pushing parents into constant fundraising obligations or fining families who don’t participate. Your child’s education is our priority.

AI Literacy

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping industries, but most schools don’t teach students how to use it productively. In today’s world, knowing how to research, analyze, and create using AI is just as essential as reading and writing. Our AI Literacy course covers:

Prompt Engineering – We teach students how to write clear and specific prompts to get useful responses from AI tools. Instead of just typing random questions, they learn how to structure queries effectively.
AI for Brainstorming & Writing – Students use ChatGPT to generate ideas, outline thoughts, and refine their writing—a skill they can apply to essays, reports, and creative projects.
Using AI for Research & Information Gathering – Students learn how to use ChatGPT and AI search tools to research topics, evaluate sources, and organize findings.

At Nerd Academy, we’ve reimagined STEAM education to make it more relevant, engaging, and impactful. PetroSTEAM is our groundbreaking curriculum that combines Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math with a focus on the energy industry—one of the most critical drivers of our local and global economy.
