Nerd Academy prioritizes reading, writing, math, structure, and confidence. Our students need teachers who can slow down where needed, teach clearly, monitor progress, and help students rebuild momentum.
Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Experience teaching elementary students
- Valid teaching certification preferred
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Strong classroom management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to follow Nerd Academy’s instructional model and school policies
- Commitment to creating a safe, structured, respectful learning environment
We are looking for educators who:
Have experience teaching elementary students
Understand the importance of strong reading, writing, and math foundations
Can create a structured, respectful classroom
Communicate clearly with students, families, and leadership
Are willing to learn and implement Nerd Academy’s instructional model
Value hands-on learning, project-based work, and real-world connections
Are open to future-focused subjects like AI literacy, media literacy, coding, and PetroSTEAM
Can balance creativity with consistency
