Teachers Gone BAD Comedy Fundraiser

Teachers spend all year watching what they say. On Friday, December 4, they are finally letting it out.

Nerd Academy is bringing Irma Ruiz’s Teachers Gone Bad to the stage for one unforgettable night of comedy about the problems, pressure, personalities, and absurdity found inside today’s education system.

Anyone who has ever been a student will find something to laugh about. Teachers will be able to relate, let loose, and breathe a sigh of relief as someone finally says out loud what educators are usually expected to keep to themselves.

It is a fun night built around a serious purpose: helping Nerd Academy build stronger readers right here in our community.

Children not being able to read proficiently is one of the most serious problems facing education today. When students struggle to read, that difficulty follows them into every subject, every grade level, and eventually into adulthood.

At Nerd Academy, we are not waiting for another committee, another program, or another round of excuses. We chose to become part of the solution from day one.

Proceeds from Teachers Gone Bad will benefit Nerd Academy and support our continued work to provide students with the instruction, materials, and individual support they need to become confident readers.

By purchasing a ticket, sponsoring the event, or making a donation, you are doing more than supporting a local school. You are becoming part of a community that refuses to accept the literacy crisis as someone else’s problem.

Come laugh with us. Support stronger readers. Be part of the solution.
